Using Soaking Music to Engage Your Heart with God

A Busy World We live in a very busy world.  Sometimes it can be just overwhelming with everything that you need to do, the list and etc.  Vacations are a very popular thing because people need a way to getaway.  God has His own kind of vacation. You are never too spiritual for a vacation. Just admit it… you need one!  You need one everyday! It is nice when you can hit the beach or go to the mountains but that can really only do so much. The Presence of God brings us the refreshing that only heaven can give. You can run all around the world trying to getaway but you will not get far enough. Why? Only heaven has a certain substance called “peace”. God Has Provided the Best Just the other day someone was telling me how there seems to be a trend where celebrities are committing suicide. Here you have people who can buy just about anything, go anywhere and yet they are not satisfied. An actor pretends to be something they actually are not. God does not want you to “pretend” to have everything together because He has provided the best for you.  You don’t have to go anywhere, own everything or try to find your identity in positions. Instead you can yield your heart to God and let Him fill it. He is your Source of satisfaction, His Spirit fills you with His love, joy and peace. There is nothing more satisfying than the

inspiration for prayer

Finding Inspiration for the Place of Prayer

Revelation 3:20 “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.” (prayer) Prayer: The Central Element Our prayer life is the central element of our walk with God.  It is our communication with God.  It is communion with God. Prayer is never meant to become mechanical, but is to flow back and forth between our heart and the heart of God. This is the life flow of being connected with His Spirit.  God is so gracious desiring to help us in every way.  He is a good Father to us.  His grace has no limitation.  He gently calls us into that place of communion with Him.  He does not bust down the door but knocks at the door of our hearts that He may come in to dine with us. Funny enough He knocks, comes in His Presence and provides the meal! Keep the Family Together Sometimes we tend to separate worship and prayer but they are very much in the same family – so we don’t want to do that. Realize that your worship is communication.  In our worship we are exalting God, being totally focused on Him which is the way it should be.  As we praise Him He inhabits us with His Presence, the tangible manifested Presence of God.  Here we receive inspiration and revelation where our eyes and ears are opened to get the

Invitation to the Secret Place

Psalm 91:9–11 “Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place,  No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways.” The Invitation God invites us into His Secret Place to spend time with Him. It is the highest invitation of all with incomprehensible benefits for our lives. The Lord understands us better than we understand ourselves. The entire concept of promises is hinged on our response to His offer. God knows that we need benefits. Bless the Lord Oh my soul and forget not all of His “benefits”. (Psalm 103:2) It is natural for us to look for things that are beneficial to us and it is not a bad thing for God made us that way. When are hearts are given over to the Lord and His plans for us He causes amazing favor to invade our lives. Just as a father gives his child reward, God is the Ultimate Rewarder as we seek Him. Jesus further clarifies this by telling us that if our earthly father, being evil, would give good gifts then how much more will the Heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask. (Luke 11:13) God wants us to recognize Him as our Source. He wants us completely dependent on Him. This is why He gives us promises so that He can show Himself faithful to us. He

God’s Highway, Good Fruit and the Escalation of Power

Help to Get on His Highway Are you at a crossroads? That is a great opportunity to ask God for wisdom! God is more than happy to give wisdom to those who ask Him. We have not because we do not ask. The Holy Spirit is the Helper who wants to help you find your way and get you on the HIGHWAY of His glory. James 1:5
“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.”

The Lord wants us to obtain His wisdom. He gladly will give to those who are dependent upon Him in such a way as to ask for it. For those who ask He will put them on the highway which represents a higher, faster and much more powerful place of acceleration! Some are caught in the backroads where they are trying to find their way to a better way – even a highway. God has a highway that is destined for you! It is a higher way of doing things. Wisdom for life and guidance by His hand. Fruit for Eternal Life God is ready to bring revival for those who are willing to dump out their bad fruit in honest confession – realizing the fault of their ways. Jesus came to do the will of the Father as a vessel completely set apart for Him, even holy to God.

John 4:34-38
 “Jesus said to them, “My

Sons of His Glory

I  had an encounter where in a church service I was laying prostrate on the floor where my heart was covering these books of revival. As I stood up the glory of God’s Presence was extremely thick in the place. The people there were very loving, enjoying the Presence of God. Wanting to find out more about the place I discovered that the authors of three different revival books had the prefix “Mc” to their names. For instance, it would be like McNeeley, McDonald, McEverett or something like these names. Out of this I wandered what the “Mc” stood for. Looking it up I discovered it means “son”. These books that I had found were written by “sons of His glory or revival”. We are in a season where batons are being passed to the next generation concerning mantles and anointing for revival glory. 1 Chronicles 16:11 “Seek the Lord and His strength; Seek His face evermore.” As we seek the Lord He will fill us with His glory. Spend time in pursuit of Him for His glory and Presence in your life. God has called each of us to live as habitations of His glory and Presence. Through our interaction with God in worship and prayer He fills us, bringing refreshing and overflow to our lives. This is the place that the Psalmist David discovered in the place of worship. Psalm 26:8 “Lord, I have loved the habitation of Your house, And the place where Your glory dwells.” David

Taste of God’s Goodness

Psalm 34:8 Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! God wants us to taste of His goodness. To know Him is to also know that “He is good!” There are a lot of things that have a bad taste in the world. But when we taste of God we realize that He is totally “out of this world… good!” Don’t settle for less than this living experience in His Presence because God has created you for it. Sometimes we have to “re-calibrate” our spiritual engines to get back into that place of experience. Or maybe you’ve never experienced the reality of God’s manifest Presence. The good news is, whether you’ve been walking with God for your entire life or if you are just new to living in Him, the blood of Christ gives us access into His Presence not matter what the case is. Our experience with God is not based on our works but on His grace through the blood of Jesus Christ. Maybe you need to create a new atmosphere in your life. Just like most every house has a living room, God wants us to decorate our the living room of our lives with pictures, sounds and fragrances that remind us of Him. The more we can renovate our way of living, even through our meditation of the Word of God and by engaging with songs of praise to Him, it will transform the atmosphere of our
