Are you believing God for something to happen in your life or the life of others? God has highlighted May 2021 to us as a month where He is breaking through in every way. Remove the limitations off your mind and expect the Lord to something in a way you would have never expected!

Right now we are in a time of breakthrough and breakthroughs! At the beginning of 2021 the Lord came to me in a dream speaking to me about the significance of the month of May. Then my wife Brandi, during the same time, also had a very significant encounter with specific dates in May that landed at the time of Pentecost. Since that time we’ve been very expectant about all that God has in store for this month of May. Breakthrough is not coming but is here in May 2021.

We’ve been at our house for a little over a year in a half. In this time I’ve been trimming the yard and doing some of those types of chores. One in particular has been trimming certain trees in our backyard. The other day one of my sons came in excited about berries falling off the tree. I thought to myself, “We don’t have any berry trees in our yard.”

As I went out to see I realized that one of the trees I’ve been trimming since we’ve been here had suddenly blossomed a ton of berries! Apparently this was it’s first batch. With our wonderful modern technology in the phone we found an app and scanned the tree discovering that it was a mulberry tree. Then I remembered a scripture related to mulberry trees in the Bible.

And it shall be, when you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the mulberry trees, then you shall advance quickly. For then the LORD will go out before you to strike the camp of the Philistines.

2 Samuel 5:24

Then looking at this I realized this is the same chapter where David speaks about the “Lord of Breakthrough” busting in like a breakthrough of water.

So David went to Baal Perazim, and David defeated them there; and he said, “The LORD has broken through my enemies before me, like a breakthrough of water.” Therefore he called the name of that place Baal Perazim.

2 Samuel 5:20

Baal Perazim means “The Lord Bursting Forth”. This entire chapter is about breakthrough and the Ark of God being restored to Israel. This was just another way that I was impressed upon that the month of May, again, is a month of breakthrough – even the blessing of the Lord coming in a supernatural ways.

Sometimes in our natural mind we try to figure out how God is going to do something. God’s ways are beyond our own as He sees the full picture with a much broader view. Abraham went out in obedience to the Lord not knowing where he was going. He didn’t have a roadmap, Google maps or GPS.

By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going.

Hebrews 11:8

Abraham simply went out in faith believe God to take care of the details. We don’t need to be concerned about the “how” but need to be settled in know that He Who has promised is faithful to do it. Just as Mary was told by the angel that she would give birth to the Son of God – all she said is “Let it be according to Your Word”.

Then Mary said, “Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her.

Luke 1:38

She did not question the angel saying, “So could you fill me in on all the details?” She just believed and accepted the Word of God given to her.

All the promises of God are obtained through faith and believing – our words affirming and steps taken to move in the direction of His promises. Our faith is made complete by our words, choices and actions. If we say one thing then act contrary to our words then we’re not totally surrendered to what God has said. When our words and actions are in alignment we can expect the fullness of what God intends in full assurance of faith knowing that He is a Rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Set your heart in expectation for all that God has for your life know that God is good – He is for you and not against you with plans that far exceed what you can comprehend. Agree with God.

Merge that agreement with actions that reflect that you are pursuing Him with the whole heart and watch with expectation for the breakthroughs that He has in store for you life!
