There will be a fresh song of the Bridegroom released that will awaken the hungry to a fresh wave of awakening in His Presence. In a dream a man was singing a song in an evangelical church. It began from a dry religious place but then eventually blossomed into a Bridegroom song. Just as stated in this verse from the Song of Songs the sound will come from “the north’, heaven above, blowing upon the garden of dry religion to bring forth fruit and life. As he began to sing about the Bridegroom’s embrace, pockets of people of this stagnant congregation began to awaken to the Presence of God.
Awake, O north wind; and come, thou south; blow upon my garden, that the spices thereof may flow out. Let my beloved come into his garden,?and eat his pleasant fruits.
Song of Songs 4:16
The Spirit of revival was being released through the intimate sound upon these people.
It was an amazing awakening of God’s glory as people began to stand in His Presence. An atmosphere had been created where “all things were possible” because of His Presence.The song of intimacy with God is needed to break through the religious ritualism that has been created by the mechanics of churchianity. The anointing of the Spirit has the ability to cut through into places of the heart that have been seemingly unmoved by all other efforts.
The waters of His Presence are discovered when the sound of intimacy with God finds a resting place in people’s hearts.
There is something about the contrast of the freshness of God’s Presence upon cold hearts?that creates a greater potential of experience and impact upon people. When a cold air front hits a hot air front, there are clear results from the contest. This is why Jesus mentions in the Book of Revelation that He would rather His people be hot or cold rather than lukewarm.
I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. Because you say, “I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked”. I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.”
Revelation 3:15-21
When people are lukewarm that don’t notice the shift as much. God’s Presence is not as obvious because of the compromised state of the heart. When people want the best of both worlds it makes them indifferent to the displays of God’s glory.
And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that does not fade away.
1 Peter 5:4
Through this awakening in His Presence, God desires to place a crown of glory upon the heads of people, a garland of grace where they walk in His life, power and authority. The garland is significant as a garland is a wreath comprised of living things, leaves and flowers. This also represents the fresh life of His Presence upon our heads, a fresh way of thought that flows from His Spirit.
Jesus brings the cure to religious stagnancy saying, “Come dine with Me!” We are invited to come to taste and see that the Lord is good. When we respond, coming to taste?of God’s goodness, the eyes of our heart are opened to see and know that He is good.
