Faith Energized By Love

…but faith working through love.

Galatians 5:6b

There is nothing more powerful than an atmosphere of God’s love. Where love exists an environment is created that facilitates trust, faith, hope and believing. Faith works through love. This means that where love exists faith is “energized”. The Greek word for “works” that is used in this word above is “energeo”

g1754. energe: To be active, efficient: do, (be) effectual (fervent), be mighty in, shew forth self, work (effectually in).

This is where we get the word energy. When we live are conduits of God’s love we are also carrying an atmosphere that will energize and empower faith in the hearts of people. Hatred and bitterness create all kinds of negative fear and distance, where love and acceptance creates a closeness, intimacy and trust, breeding true faith in the heart.

Where many stumble is in their attempt to realize faith outside of a love paradigm. Understanding and experiencing the love of God is foundational for faith to be active in our lives and in the lives of others makes all the difference. In our lives we need to make sure we are expressing God’s love.

Does our behavior create distance or closeness in our relationships? Do we project love in our actions or are we exemplifying controlling behavioral tendencies?

And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

1 Corinthians 13:14

We are taught that faith, hope and love are the greatest attributes of the kingdom. These are the substantial things that God is looking for in our lives. He knows that when these elements are working and active in our lives all things become possible for us. We know that it is impossible to please God without faith.?God’s love is the channel that faith flows through.

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen

2 Corinithians 13:14

The next step is realizing that the love of God is poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit. Here comes the eternal God-element that has to be embraced before we can even walk in love. Since the Holy Spirit is the Person who fills us with His love then we cannot begin to love without a living communion with Him.
