Finding Inspiration for the Place of Prayer

Revelation 3:20
?Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.” (prayer)

Prayer: The Central Element

Our prayer life is the central element of our walk with God. ?It is our communication with God. ?It is communion with God. Prayer is never meant to become mechanical, but is to flow back and forth between our heart and the heart of God. This is the life flow of being connected with His Spirit. ?God is so gracious desiring to help us in every way. ?He is a good Father to us. ?His grace has no limitation. ?He gently calls us into that place of communion with Him. ?He does not bust down the door but knocks at the door of our hearts that He may come in to dine with us. Funny enough He knocks, comes in His Presence and provides the meal!

Keep the Family Together

Sometimes we tend to separate worship and prayer but they are very much in the same family – so we don?t want to do that. Realize that your worship is communication. ?In our worship we are exalting God, being totally focused on Him which is the way it should be. ?As we praise Him He inhabits us with His Presence, the tangible manifested Presence of God. ?Here we receive inspiration and revelation where our eyes and ears are opened to get the overflow of God?s heart. (Eph. 1:17-19) ?At this point our prayers come under His influence in a deeper dimension where we are praying out of the overflow of His Presence.

A Place of Divine Inspiration

More than just having a good prayer, in this place of His Presence we experience the ?spirit of prayer? where we are now flowing in His river – even communicating with God as His Spirit is breathing into us heavenly inspired prayers. You could also call it prophetic prayer where God is giving insight into how to pray. Worship God, putting Him first, and let God breath a fresh breath of inspiration come into your heart as you engage with God in devotion to Him.?
