Fusion With God

In the beginning God had a desire. That desire was to have a people that were completely one with Him. The Son and the Spirit already pre-existed, being one with the Father before the incarnation of Christ. God sent His Son that He may have many sons brought into His glory.

Before the mountains were brought forth,
Or ever You had formed the earth and the world,
Even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God.

Psalm 90:2

John recounts saying that “we had beheld the glory of the One begotten of the Father full of grace and truth.” We can see in the letters of John, that are so poetic with prophetic rhythm, that he entered into and experienced a profound deep intimacy with Jesus. We see the account where he rested his head upon the very heart of Jesus (John 21:20).

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

John 1:14

John was a man of revelation. God had graced him with a heart that found a true union with God. Through this intimate union we see how he was entrusted with clarity of sight into the future. He saw the glories of the Lamb of God.

For the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters.

Revelation 7:14

What an awesome picture of God’s heart for us, His loving nature and care for us.What amazing visions John had of Jesus in such beautiful form. He beheld the worship of heaven in Revelation 4 with thunders, lightnings with the angels and living creatures glorifying God with loud voices.(Revelation 4:5)I am sure heaven took on a new reality and definition at this point in John’s life as he saw things in such panorama and spectacular form.

All of this was made possible because of His union with the Father’s heart.Because he had chosen the intimate route, rather than the superficial religious exercises, he was catapulted into the graces of amazing experiences with God and heaven. How many times have people replaced hanging out with God with a list of things to do. Some would say, “Let’s go take the world for Jesus! Rah! Rah! Rah!” We won’t take an ant for Jesus unless we learn to spend time with God.

I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

John 15:5

Our works add up to nothing apart from learning to abide in Christ. We need to learn to slow down and rest our heads upon God’s heart, to hear His heartbeat. We need divine fusion with God, where we are one with Him.God’s desire is that we would be “fused” with Him. This means to join or blend into a single entity. As we become fused with the heart of God we will see what He wants us to see, hear what He wants us to hear and know Him in such a way that is life altering. When our lives are changed, other lives will benefit the same. We can only lead where we have gone ourselves.Allow God to fuse your heart with His, that your heart would beat to His rhythm and song.
