Glory: The Gravity of God

The glory of the Lord will cover the earth as the waters cover the sea.? God has destined us to be the carriers of His most excellent glory throughout the earth!?

The Weighty Kabod

Chronicles 5:13-14
“Indeed it came to pass, when the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord, and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the Lord, saying: “For He is good, For His mercy endures forever,” that the house, the house of the Lord, was filled with a cloud,? so that the priests could not continue ministering because of the cloud; for the glory of the Lord filled the house of God.

The Weighty Kabod

The Gravity of God is the weighty glory of God. In a dream I was in a service and the Spirit spoke to me about the “gravity of God” being the glory of His Presence. We could all feel the weight of His Presence in the place. People were being drawn
into this realm of heaven, the weighty Presence of God. God’s gravity keeps us where we need to be. It is His realm of life released in our midst. I was ecstatic about the revelation of this because I had never heard it this way. The glory is God’s gravity! We see in 2 Chronicles that the priests could not minister any longer because God’s gravity (glory) was just getting too heavy! Amazing!
In the Hebrew, the word for glory is “kabod”. The definition is the “weighty” presence of the Lord. God wants us to experience His glory. It is not difficult and it is accessible to us as inheritors of God’s blessings and benefits. It is the will of God for us to experience His glory every day. This is not something high and lofty that is out of reach, but rather is included in the blessing package of God’s overflowing love.

Temples of the Holy Spirit

1 Corinthians 6:19-20
“Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.”
Each of us is a temple of the Holy Spirit. The temple of the Solomon serves as a picture for us of how we are now the temple of God. In Solomon’s temple there were different courts: the outer court, the holy place and the holy of holies. Our body represents the outer court, our soul represent the holy place and the our spirit represents the holy of holies. The “holies of holies” within us is where we want to live our lives from. This is the place where God inhabits. Such is the place of our inner man, the born again spirit. This is the part of who we are that is created in the image of God, after His likeness. Our spirit was birthed, made alive, in us by the Holy Spirit. When we feed this inner part of us we begin to live by the inner man, rather than our world-conscious flesh. By giving attention to that which is created after God in true righteousness and holiness we then begin to experience His glory and life within.
Our society is geared to cater to the flesh of man. Food is a “god” in America. All you have to do is drive down the road or turn on the TV to see how food is constantly put in front of our eyes. The devil wants us to feed our natural flesh rather than our spirit man. Those who give more attention to the spirit man within will always come out on top. I’ve heard many say that “fasting” is not for today, we don’t need to fast, people are religious when they fast and etc.
The truth is that there are many “wrong motivations” for the religious exercises that people engage in. But we don’t need to throw the baby out with the bathwater. Jesus said that His disciples WILL FAST when He would be taken away. I have good news, Jesus was taken away and glorified and gave us His Holy Spirit. Now is the time for us to engage in fasting but not out of a legalistic spirit or religious exercise. We need to fast out of a pure desire to experience the Lord in His glory both individually and corporately as the family of God.

Hungry For God

Matthew 5:6
“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled.”
In our spiritual disciplines, our supreme motivation should be to experience God, be hungry for God. Our desire is to want to be with Him, to get us in a place of sensitivity to His Presence. We want to be vessels that hear His heart beat and are after Him. Words don?t say much. There needs to be actions that come behind our words. We say we want revival. But there is always a price to be paid. To even begin experience God in a personal way we have to begin to in some way ?sensitize? ourselves to the Holy Spirit?s presence.
It is the Holy Spirit who ignites spiritual fire. We should be after the ?habitation? of his presence rather than revival. Revival sounds too transitory. This is why we read about them as past. We want God to stay. Jesus was always in revival because he was the habitation of God. He set the example for us to be habitations of His Holy Spirit as well. We need to be in constant pursuit, have constant hunger for His presence. When we taste of His presence it leaves us always wanting more of Him. That is a sign of true hunger in the heart. When we just cannot get enough that is the way it should be. It is a daily pursuit. Please understand that this is not about our works, but about our ?joy?! It is a joyful thing to pursue the Lord.
Most people, when thinking about fasting?think of 40 days or something bigger than they should. Try fasting a few meals a day to start and replace that natural food with spiritual food: the word, worship, prayer and meditation.
Communion with God in combined with fasting is a key that helps us to more easily connect with God. Connecting with God must be the motivation. People are zealous for bad reasons. Fasting is not about us. It is about God, His Kingdom manifested in us and in the earth. The pursuit of God is always the right reason.
Come Holy Spirit!

  1. I really enjoyed your post, God’s Glory (Gravity) has been revealed to me recently. Massive implications! All after watching Interstellar.

  2. This is still relevant today, and it is confirmation to how Abba has been dealing with me and my ministry. I thank Him for you, your obedience, and your sensitivity to His Spirit!
