Jesus is into resurrecting the things that have died. He has an amazing plan for you. Even though the world around us might feel a little bit like it is going into a swirl – God is bringing life right the midst of it. In the chaos and confusion He is all about bringing forth life.
His Reality Inside of Us
Just as He died, we died. Just as He was raised from the dead, we were raised from the dead. We have a Living Hope, the hope of His glory inside of us. After he was resurrected he sent his Spirit on the day of Pentecost that we would have true hope with empowerment.
He is always with us and now dwells inside of us. The reality of His Presence is yours. We were watching a little animation cartoon series with our kids at home about the resurrection of Jesus. I loved the part where Jesus says, “It is finished!” Then all of the sudden the earthquake happened, the temple shook and rent asunder the veil of the temple in two. It is a beautiful picture of the end of the old covenant and the entrance into the new.
God has given us boldness by the blood of Christ so that we can enter into the holiest of all. We have entrance into the holiest of all that was not made by the hands of men, but is in the heavens. We can come into the very Presence of God by the blood of Jesus Christ. As He went before us is a Forerunner, so we can go into his Presence too. We can live in that place. Not just going in to experience Him at one time, but He ripped it completely open so that His Presence is always available to us.
Here Comes Jesus
One of my favorite parts about the resurrection story is that it’s a great reminder to us of His power in the midst of difficulty. It doesn’t matter what you’re facing – the impossible odds against you. In Christ, you’re always victorious.
I can only imagine, on that Saturday, the disciples must have been experiencing confusion and feeling despair. They’re thinking, “We’ve given our lives for the last three years for this?” This was not going according to their plans. They expected it to turn out totally different. Yet in the middle of it all here come these women saying, “Jesus is Alive!”.
You might be feeling like you’re there now. You can’t seem to get to a place where everything that you’ve given yourself for is working. It may seem like all is dead and gone but here comes Jesus! You’ve got to love the gospels because it brings the very human element in.
Jesus knew that they would just feel overwhelmed by his death. Just to think that Jesus says, “My time has come. My days on earth are over and now it’s up to you guys.” The disciples felt the weight of everything. But Jesus said wait in Jerusalem until you receive the Holy Spirit with the power. Jesus told the disciples the “Promise of the Father” going to come upon them. Then they would be His witnesses from Jerusalem, to Judea and to the ends of the earth.
Carry His Good News!
Jesus rose! He still alive today. He is still calling us to deeper intimacy and relationship with Him. We get to share the good news that He is risen, that He is alive forevermore. It is a blessing that as ambassadors of Christ we have the privilege to carry His good news.
It’s good news! It’s not bad news. With all of the bad news going on in the world it’s really important that we carry the good news of Jesus Christ. We carry the hope for people. We don’t have all the answers but Jesus is the ultimate answer to everything that people are facing. There’s so many different needs in people’s lives that it can be overwhelming if we try to meet those needs ourselves. Christ can meet every one of those needs! He sees every heart. He’s able to do it as He partners with us to help others to know Him.
We pray today that God would bring you new life. That His Spirit would refresh you today. That He would resurrect dead prophetic words that you have possibly lost long ago and that he would bring new life. The Lord fill you with His abundant Life today, refresh you, encourage you, bring back joy where it has been gone. That He would fill you with His peace where there has been a chaos. The Lord fill you with fresh hope and the realization that His resurrection power dwells in you – even resurrecting dead promises and dreams for your life.
BELIEVING God’s promise to you will get you to a place that nothing else can. Nothing impossible for those who believe. What is limited by man’s ability, faith and believing will bring to fruition.
The Lord help you to believe, strengthen your faith and help you put action those things that activate His promises in your life.
