Sons of His Glory

I  had an encounter where in a church service I was laying prostrate on the floor where my heart was covering these books of revival. As I stood up the glory of God?s Presence was extremely thick in the place. The people there were very loving, enjoying the Presence of God. Wanting to find out more about the place I discovered that the authors of three different revival books had the prefix ?Mc? to their names. For instance, it would be like McNeeley, McDonald, McEverett or something like these names. Out of this I wandered what the ?Mc? stood for. Looking it up I discovered it means ?son?.

These books that I had found were written by ?sons of His glory or revival?. We are in a season where batons are being passed to the next generation concerning mantles and anointing for revival glory.

Seek The Lord

1 Chronicles 16:11
?Seek the Lord and His strength;
Seek His face evermore.?

As we seek the Lord He will fill us with His glory. Spend time in pursuit of Him for His glory and Presence in your life. God has called each of us to live as habitations of His glory and Presence. Through our interaction with God in worship and prayer He fills us, bringing refreshing and overflow to our lives. This is the place that the Psalmist David discovered in the place of worship.

Psalm 26:8
?Lord, I have loved the habitation of Your house,
And the place where Your glory dwells.?

David had become addicted to this place of God?s glory. He understood this place of glory that is discovered through a life that is consecrated through life of worship. The glory of God is a place where the life of the Holy Spirit is manifested in a tangible way, where we literally experience the reality of God?s Presence. There are different levels of glory that we can experience, just as you can have a different
water level.

Ezekiel 47:4-5
?Again he measured one thousand and brought me through the waters; the water came up to my knees. Again he measured one thousand and brought me through; the water came up to my waist. Again he measured one thousand, and it was a river that I could not cross; for the water was too deep, water in which one must swim, a river that could not be crossed.?

The Spirit of Revival

I can remember a time when I was in a service years ago where the spirit of revival was breaking out. It was so thick that it felt like you could cut it out of the atmosphere and stick it in your pocket. As sons we have an inheritance that God gives to us. It is not based on our works, spiritual disciplines or anything else. Through our living relationship with the Lord His glory is manifested to us as we pursue Him. In Christ your last name is ?McJesus?.  You are a son of God, (Rom. 4:6) son of glory and son of revival!  We have been grafted into to the abundance of riches of inheritance in His glory as He supplies all of our need through His riches in glory. (Phil. 4:19)

Ephesians 1:18
?…the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.?

We can know that the Lord gives us abundant life (John 10:10) because of His goodness shown to us through His great, precious and highly valuable promises.

2 Peter 1:2-4
?Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature…”

As we pursue the Lord we are also recognizing the vast inheritance that is available to us as sons, things concerning His glory, presence and all of His goodness that He longs to make manifest in the earth. ?This is what we are called to, heaven on earth!

  1. Wow! whoa! Wow! This is really powerful and timely indeed. I have been asking and seeking the Lord for fresh fire, fresh oil of the Spirit, fresh anointing and mantle. I am titles and tired of the status quo. I am desperately desperate for more.
    Thanks Pastor.

  2. Good morning, it is very encouraging and powerful message.
can I get a book and for more notes and teachings? Will be greatful if you consider my request.
May God bless you abundantly, thanks in advance

  3. John, I need the source of one of your quotes: “God’s grace is meant to bring us up higher. His grace is not a license to live in an inferior place of sin and self-justification for acts of unrighteousness.” I have included it in a book about Grace, but I need the reference of when and where it was quoted. I thought it was in Charisma magazine one of the Fall issues, but can’t find it. Maybe it was on The Elijah List? Thanks for any help you can give.

    • Dear Anne,
You can just reference “An Article on the Grace of God by John Belt of Overflow Global Ministries” and add belt-ministries-new-staging.fpyeqa8-liquidwebsites.com for the website. I’m not sure which article that had that quote but if I figure that out I’ll let you know.
      Blessings to you!
      John
