When Praise Goes Up!

Psalm 132:9
“Let Your priests be clothed with righteousness,
And let Your saints shout for joy.”

1. Praise is Simple & Powerful

Do you know the power of praise to God? Praising God changes our lives. Praise is one of the simplest things we can ever do in our walk with God. It is also one of the most powerful weapons that God has put at our disposal! Because of the way God has made us praise is perfect to bring needed adjustment to our thinking and to foster a yielded heart to His Presence. God inhabits the praises of His people.  That means that when you praise God with your whole heart He actually fills that praise with the substance of Who He is.

2. Praise Expels Heaviness

Have you ever felt heavy in your heart?  Maybe you feel that way now.  If you begin to give some time to just worship and praise God – vocalizing the glory of Jesus you will notice a difference in your heart.  How big a difference do you want to make.  In the measure that you sow that will also be the measure that you reap. I would encourage you to sow LOTS of praise to God because you will reap a harvest of life, blessing and breakthrough!  It is the will of God for high praises to be in our mouths, even with the Word of God being declared along with it. Though these things are just a blessing and enjoyable they are also weapons of our warfare.

3. Praise is One of Your Weapons

Did you know that you are in a battle?  The enemy of your soul is always going to try to bring you down, but you even more so have the ability to push him down in his proper place – the dirt! You can do this through the power of praise with the Word of God in your mouth. You have so much more power in Christ being the temple of the Holy Spirit! The power of His Spirit far exceeds anything the devil can throw at you.

Let praise rise from your heart. Shout aloud to God! Make sure He can hear you. Don?t be timid, be bold as a lion and roar for the glory of God!

Power Points
1. Praise will adjust your thinking – fixing your thoughts upward.
2. Praise will replace heaviness with lightness and joy.
3. Shouting to God is good for you as it is healthy to express thankfulness to God demonstratively.
4. God has given us His righteousness so be bold as a lion.

1 thought on “When Praise Goes Up!”

  1. “This is how I fight my battles ” but so tired when yet another (#!!!) popped up & for a moment, I was almost too upset to do what Ive done for years to come out of the battle unscathed; which is to apply this battle method.
I’ve applied your “Prophetic Warrior” cd with earphones (plus other cds, but this in particular) & soon experienced victory.
Thank you for the timely message!
