In our lives we will always find ourselves occupied with something. There is always a particular thing that takes most of our attention, time and focus. Jesus pulls us aside to show us the one thing we should be most obsessed with, that is the Person of Who He is and His Kingdom. Can you think of anything more important to you life than God Himself? He is the One Who created us, fashioning us in His image. In order for us to live the way we were meant to He has to be first. How simple and essential this is. People are finding lots of things to take their minds different directions. Just as man has to have something to worship as he was created to worship, so those affections need redirected toward God. When we discover the place where He occupies our thoughts, even the things that please Him – the truths in His Word, worship, prayer and His promises. All of these things create a synergy together making us a life that is completely surrendered to Him. When the purpose of all that we do it so that we can serve God more effectively then we have gained a right focus and perspective in this life of what is really important. The more we can do things with an intent to glorify God, to know Him better and serve His greater purposes on earth then we begin to live from heaven’s vantage point. David said, “Create a
God has big plans for His people. Do you know why it is always big? Because He is so big! Just think about it for a minute. We are on this speck of a planet when seen through God’s eyes. This is the God that created all the universe, solar systems and planets – and here we are going about our daily activities. It is quite mind-boggling when you stop to take that in. What is even more amazing is that He has revealed Himself to us through the substance of Who He is in His manifested Presence! What a gift it is that He has made us to be dwelling places of His Spirit. Next to God giving up His Son for us on the cross – it is the next biggest thing. How much He loves us! It is beyond comprehension that He actually wants to make Himself known to us in such a close and tangible way. How blessed we are to know Him! Now He wants us to get in on His greater plan for this earth. We get to be involved in revealing His glory – that all the people in this world He created would have an encounter with Him. God is without limitation and when we take the limitations off of Him in our own minds then nothing is impossible! 1 Peter 2:9–10 “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim

Get a glimpse of John Belt’s new book “The Secret to Experiencing God’s Presence” in this interview with Adnan Maqsood on Vision TV. You will enjoy this dialogue as John shares His own life, testimony and keys to help you experience God’s Presence on a regular basis.
From the time I first came to the Lord as someone right out of high school, one of the things I came to recognize when I got together with other believers was this manifested Presence of God that would come. When we come together in unity with the goal of fellowship in the Presence of God through worship and prayer, the oil of His manifested Presence is poured out upon us. Because of the blessing of having a home group on Friday night, then church on Sunday mornings I came to experience Him on a regular basis. I truly cannot imagine having not had this – a real Spirit-filled experience in my beginnings. When I eventually had to move geographically I’d learned how to practice His Presence wherever I was. It was not an option but something I had to have even if I did it alone. This is where God wants all us to be. Did I read my Bible – yes. Did I pray – yes. Did I worship – yes. Yet all of these things had to produce a result, even His manifested Presence. I knew it would abnormal to NOT experience His Presence in my devotion every day. I found worshipful music would help as I practiced engaging the Presence of God. What was the consistent fruit of this? Peace, joy, love (apart from my limited love that was in my soul). Our love runs out. His love never ends! There are so many benefits to
Revelation 22:17 “And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.” As believers we are married to Jesus. With that marriage He gives us the wedding ring that we need to wear -using the authority that we’ve been given through our oneness with Him. Your Devotion to God Gives Opportunity Our intimacy with God gives us power, awakening us to the authority that we’ve been given. By digging deeper in prayer, intercession and worship we discover or even rediscover a greater authority over the enemy. Exodus 14:13-15 “And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. The LORD will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace. And the LORD said to Moses, “Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward. But lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. And the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.” Use What You’ve Been Given God calls us to use that authority. Just as Moses came to the Red Sea saying, “Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord.” God responded to Moses basically saying, “Stretch
